The first thing I noticed is that the white light is actually decent for a 4.9 W bulb. It’s not going to light a huge room, but in a bedside lamp or a desk lamp, it’s totally fine. The colours are fun but clearly dimmer than the white modes, which is typical for cheap RGB bulbs. You’re not lighting a workspace in purple; it’s more for mood and decoration.

Most of the experience is really about the Lepro app. You can control brightness, colour, set schedules, and there’s all this AI stuff where you can snap a photo or ask for themes. Some of that feels a bit gimmicky, but some of it is actually handy when you just want a quick cosy scene without fiddling with sliders. In practice, you’ll probably end up using 5–10 favourite scenes and ignore the rest, but it’s there if you like to experiment.

The app side is where it gets more interesting. You can:

The more fancy AI/LightGPM features are a “nice to have” if you’re into that, but I wouldn’t buy the bulbs only for that. Think of them as decent smart bulbs with some extra toys in the app rather than some futuristic lighting revolution.

If the question is “does this actually make lighting easier or is it just a toy?”, I’d say it does a bit of both, but mostly in a good way. For simple stuff like turning lights on and off from bed or the sofa, it works well. The Alexa and Google Assistant integration is straightforward once the bulbs are in the Lepro app. I can say “turn off bedside light” or “set living room lamp to warm white 30%” and it just does it. That part is genuinely practical and I ended up using voice control more than I expected.
